sarve daityā āsanasthā punaśca te devagaṇāḥ sudhārasaṃ dattaṃ pīḍitāśca..
tūṣṇīṃbhūtā balimukhyā dvijeṃdrā manasvino dhyānaparā babhūvuḥ.. 12.61 ..

all the Daityas remained seated, while the hosts of gods [were given] the nectar essence; and afflicted, / Bali's chiefs, silent, became thoughtful and intent on contemplation, O lords among the twice-born.
