evaṃ kṣiptaḥ śivo maunī gacchamāno'pi parvatam..
tadā sa ṛṣibhiḥ prāpto mahādevo'vyayastathā..
yasmātkalatrahartā tvaṃ tasmātṣaṃḍho bhava tvaram.. 6.24 ..

Though thus reproached, Śiva remained silent while continuing toward the mountain. / Then Mahādeva, the imperishable, was approached by the seers [who said]: / 'Because you are an abductor of wives, therefore become an eunuch at once!' 6.24
