Thus ends the eighth chapter, entitled 'The Description of the Story of the Incarnation of Śrī Rāma' in the recounting of the greatness of worshipping the Śivaliṅga, in the Śiva treatise of the Kedārakhaṇḍa, in the first section, the Māheśvarakhaṇḍa, of the venerable Skanda Mahāpurāṇa consisting of eighty-one thousand verses.
