Thus ends the fifty-ninth chapter, entitled 'Description of the Departure of Ghaṭotkaca to the City of Prāgjyotiṣa' in the narrative of Barbarīka, in the Kaumārikākhaṇḍa of the first [section], the Māheśvarakhaṇḍa, in the glorious Skandapurāṇa, a collection of eighty-one thousand verses.
