kṛṣṇapakṣe caturddaśyāmāśvine māsi bhaktitaḥ ..
upavāsaparo bhūtvā yo'tra snānaṃ kariṣyati ..
sarveṣāmeva tīrthānāṃ sa phalaṃ hi labhiṣyati .. 1-4 ..

He who, intent on fasting, bathes here with devotion
on the fourteenth day of the dark fortnight in the month of Āśvina
shall indeed obtain the fruit of all sacred fords."
