kārtikyāṃ kārtike māsi vidhinā yastamarcayet ..
dīpapūjopahāreṇa yaśasvī so'pi jāyate .. 6 ..

By the power of that liṅga, great renown was attained by the king. / Whoever worships it according to rule on the full moon of the month of Kārttika / with offerings and the worship of lamps, he too becomes renowned. (6)
