Thus ends the thirty-eighth chapter, entitled 'The Story of Damanaka,' in the Puruṣottamakṣetra-māhātmya in the second book, the Vaiṣṇavakhaṇḍa, of the glorious Skandamahāpurāṇa, a compendium of eighty-one thousand verses, in the dialogue with the sage Jaimini.
