Thus ends the ninth chapter, titled 'The Narration of the Birth of Kumāra', in the Vaiśākhamāsamāhātmya of the second section, the Vaiṣṇavakhaṇḍa, within the glorious Skandapurāṇa of eighty-one thousand verses, in the dialogue between Nārada and Ambarīṣa. (9)
