iti śrīskāṃde mahāpurāṇa ekāśītisāhasryāṃ saṃhitāyāṃ tṛtīye brahmakhaṇḍe setumāhātmye yamunāgaṃgāgayātīrthapraśaṃsāyāṃ jānaśruti jñānāvāptivarṇanaṃnāma ṣaḍviṃśo'dhyāyaḥ .. 26 .. .. ..

Thus ends the twenty-sixth chapter, named 'Description of the Attainment of Knowledge by Jānaśruti' in praise of the sacred fords of Yamunā, Gaṅgā, and Gayā, in the Setumāhātmya of the third section, the Brahmakhaṇḍa, of the glorious Skanda Mahāpurāṇa consisting of eighty-one thousand verses.
