iti śrīskāṃde mahāpurāṇa ekāśīti sāhasryāṃ saṃhitāyāṃ caturthe kāśīkhaṇḍe uttarārddhe vārāṇasīvarṇanaṃ gaṇapreṣaṇaṃ nāma tripaṃcāśattamo'dhyāyaḥ .. 53 .. ..

Thus ends the fifty-third chapter, named 'The Dispatch of the Gaṇas, and the Description of Vārāṇasī', in the latter half of the Kāśīkhaṇḍa, in the eighty-one-thousand-verse collection of the glorious Skandapurāṇa.
