evaṃ viṣṇoḥ padaṃ tatra saṃjātaṃ munisattamāḥ ..
sarvapāpaharaṃ puṃsāṃ tadā viṣṇupadī smṛtā .. 13 ..

Thus Viṣṇu's footprint came to be there, O best of sages, / destroying all sins of men; then she was called Viṣṇupadī.
