kṛttikā ūcuḥ..
satyaṃ vadāmahe devi tava trailokyaśobhite..
asya staṃbasamūhasya madhyasthaṃ bālakaṃ vṛṇu..32..

The Kṛttikās said: / “We speak the truth, O goddess who adorns the three worlds! / Choose the boy standing in the midst of this clump of reeds.”
