sarvābharaṇaśobhābhirabhidīptamahāvapuḥ ..
babhāṣe pārvatīṃ viṣṇuḥ prasannavadanaḥ śubhām..
devi tuṣṭo 'smi bhadraṃ te kathayasva tavepsitam .. 8 ..

his vast body shining with the splendors of all ornaments, / his face cheerful, addressed the auspicious Pārvatī: / “O goddess, I am pleased; hail to you! Tell [me] your desire.”
