ekahastapramāṇāni āyāmavyāsavistarāt..
aiśānyāmaparāṃ vediṃ hastamātrāṃ nyasecchubhām..
ratnimātrotthitāṃ caiva grahāṃstatra prakalpayet.. 14..

He should prepare fire pits of four cubits in the four directions, / measuring one cubit in length and breadth. / In the northeast he should place another auspicious altar measuring just one cubit, / raised merely a span; and there he should arrange the planets.
