sūta uvāca..
kapāleśasya māhātmyaṃ śrūyatāmadhunā dvijāḥ..
caturthasya mahābhāgāstatra kṣetre sthitasya ca..1..
śrutamātreṇa yenātra naraḥ pāpātpramucyate..2..

Sūta said:
Now let the greatness of Kapāleśa be heard, O twice-born ones,
the fourth [deity], O fortunate ones, residing in that sacred field,
by the mere hearing of which a person here is freed from sin.
