śrīmārkaṇḍeya uvāca -
narmadottarakūle tu dārutīrthamanuttamam .
yatra siddho mahābhāga tapastaptvā dvijottamaḥ .. 30.1 ..

The venerable Mārkaṇḍeya said:
On the northern bank of the Narmadā is Dārutīrtha, unsurpassed,
where, having performed austerity, an excellent twice-born attained perfection, O fortunate one.
