yudhiṣṭhira uvāca -
pippalādasya caritaṃ śrotumicchāmyahaṃ vibho .
māhātmyaṃ tasya tīrthasya yatra siddho mahātapāḥ .. 42.2 ..

Yudhiṣṭhira said: / I wish to hear about Pippalāda's life, O lord, / and the māhātmya of that sacred ford where the [sage] of great austerity attained perfection.
