śanaiścara uvāca -
krūrasvabhāvaḥ sahajo mama dṛṣṭistathedṛśī .
muñcasva māṃ tathā kartā yadbravīṣi na saṃśayaḥ .. 42.34 ..

Śanaiścara said: / “A cruel nature is inborn to me, and such is my gaze. / Release me; I will do whatever you say, without a doubt.”
