[Variant readings: 18 'under the sway of wrath' - kha; 19 '...here' - kha; 20 'with the appearance of servants' - kha; 21 'taken (?)'; 22 'not' - kha; 23 'they told (?)'] / 516 / Having consoled them and having mounted the excellent throne, / having settled the affairs of all, the Daitya lord went to the abode of Varuṇa. / With various lion-roars, musical instruments, prancings, slappings of arms, and shouts, / all those great Asuras went, surrounding on every side the lion among Dānava kings. / Thus ends the ninety-third chapter, 'The Departure to the Abode of Varuṇa', in the Skandapurāṇa.
