sa daityastena ghātena bhramitvā cakravattadā .
papāta bhūmau vegena vātāhata iva drumaḥ ..16. .
patitaṃ taṃ tadābhyetya vipracittiṃ prajeśvaraḥ8 .
jagrāha padbhyāṃ9 deveśo drāvamāṇaṃ diteḥ sutam ..17..

That Daitya, reeling like a wheel from that blow, / then fell swiftly to the ground like a tree struck by the wind. / Approaching Vipracitti as he fell, the lord of creatures, / the lord of gods, seized that fleeing son of Diti by the feet.
