666
Then at night the Lord of Gods, the matted-haired one, arrived with his beloved, / the god surrounded by all his gaṇas and with Nandīśvara. // 16
He, the Lord who brings happiness to all beings, approached them; / "I am a granter of boons," he spoke to those weeping there. // 17
Sanatkumāra said:
Then they, with pathetic voices and eyes brimming with tears, / said: "May this son of ours become alive by your command, O God!" // 18
The Lord, having revived their child son there, / gave him divine status as lord of gaṇas and an imperishable dwelling right there. // 19
Sanatkumāra said:
Thus, having reached that night, having gone to the cremation grounds in the prescribed manner, / he went to the auspicious beryl peak of the Himālaya. // 8.120.20
He of blazing splendor, the omnipresent, immutable Self, wielder of the Pināka, dweller on the mountain peak, / said to those consecrated by the excellent sacrifice: "Choose a boon, you who dwell in heaven!" // 21
Thus ends the one hundred and twentieth chapter in the Skandapurāṇa.
