bhidyatāmiva14 śailānāṃ samudrāṇāṃ kṣayeṣviva .
pralayānteṣu mahatāṃ vāyūnāṃ javatāmiva ..12..
teṣāmāsīnmahāñchabdaḥ parasparanijaghnuṣām15 ..
brahmadaṇḍapratīkāśairyamadaṇḍanibhairapi .
āāyudhaissūdayanti sma tenyonyakupitā16 bhṛśam ..13..
vajrāṇāmiva śaileṣu vaṃśānāmiva17 dahyatām .
abhūccaṭacaṭāśabdaḥ śastrāṇāṃ pātyatāṃ18 tadā ..14..

or like mountains shattering, or oceans at the cosmic destructions, / or like the rushing of mighty winds at the end of a cosmic age. // 12
Mighty was the noise of those striking one another. / With weapons resembling the staff of Brahmā and like the rod of Yama, / greatly enraged at one another, they slaughtered [each other]. // 13
Like the crashing of thunderbolts upon mountains, or like bamboos burning, / there arose the crackling noise of weapons being hurled down then. // 14
