Sanatkumāra said:
When Huṇḍa and Tuhuṇḍa were slain by Vināyaka,
that battle between the lords of the gaṇas and the asuras became tumultuous. / 1
Roaring like clouds filled with water at the coming of the rains,
they quickly destroyed one another as they fought. / 2
Their limbs drenched in flowing streams of blood, their lips bitten by teeth,
they struck one another with tridents, spears, rṣṭis, and paṭṭiśas. / 3
Hearing the ear-rending sounds of spears being thrown, swords falling,
names being proclaimed, and bows twanging, / 4
Jambha, foremost among the mighty, enraged by the slaughter of his brothers,
entered the Pramatha host. / 5
