7.15.9

gaṇapāpi tataḥ khyātāḥ khyātavīryayaśaḥśrutāḥ .
pratīyurasurān yuddhe śarabhāḥ kuñjarāniva . .8. .
tatosuragaṇeśānāṃ sannipātobhavanmahān .
saṃghaṭṭa iva vajrāṇāṃ saha kāñcanaparvataiḥ . .9 .

Then the famous lords of the gaṇas, renowned for their valor, fame, and sacred learning,
confronted the asuras in battle, as śarabhas [confront] elephants. / 8
Then a great clash occurred between the lords of the asuras and the gaṇas,
like the collision of thunderbolts with golden mountains. / 9
