bāhupāśena caivainaṃ baddhvā bhūtapatiḥ svayam .
iyeṣa bhūmau niṣpeṣṭumandhakaścāvamocayat .. 19. .

And binding him with the noose of his arms, the lord of spirits himself / sought to crush him on the ground, but Andhaka broke free. / Having freed himself and resorting to illusory magic, / he rushed toward the son of Śilāda [Nandī], crying: 'Halt, halt!'
