Sanatkumāra said: / When the brahmins had been invited throughout the three strides of Nārāyaṇa, and Nandin, the leader of the hosts of attendants, had returned, / the blessed Lord, the destroyer of the sacrifice and of Kāma, the knocker-out of Pūṣan's teeth, wearing a garland, bearing a diadem, mighty, the Embodiment of Time, spoke these words at that time: / 'O Ambikā, all the brahmins of the world are like Brahmā. / They have been invited, O fair-hipped lady; do what you desire in your mind. / Where that small aśoka tree is, which will become your son, / let Piṅgala, the giver of food, prepare the food there, O beloved.'
