vareṇa tu mamānena gopate yadi tuṣyasi20 .
nityā bhavatu me bhaktistvayi sāmbe maheśvara21 .. 1 6.

832 / 'If you are pleased with me, O Lord of the earth, grant this boon: let my devotion to you along with Ambā be eternal, O Maheśvara! / You have already made me the sovereign of the hosts, of those distinguished and more distinguished than me, O best of gods! What else can you do beyond this?' / Seeing Nandin thus speaking and bowing down, the three-eyed God, whose crest is the moon, looked upon him with affection.
