tānahaṃ 11 tapasā jñātvā tatraivāntarhitaḥ sthitaḥ12 . . 6 . .
athāgāttatra śailendra13 vipro niyamavān śuciḥ .
tīrthābhiṣekapūtātmā pare tapasi saṃsthita.

Having known them by austerity, I stood right there, concealed. / Then, O king of mountains, a brahmin arrived there, restrained in vows, pure, / his soul purified by bathing in sacred fords, devoted to supreme austerity.
