ādhipatyaṃ hi naḥ kṛtsne77 bhūrloke kaśyapādhunā . .8 1 . .
sarvāvasthāsu yajñe78sminnasmān tvaṃ yaṣṭumarhasi .
evamuktastato daityairmārīcaḥ kaśyapastadā . .82. .
gambhīramarthavadvākyamuvācetthaṃ smayanniva .

"Our sovereignty indeed extends over the entire earth now, O Kaśyapa.
You ought to sacrifice to us in this sacrifice under all circumstances!"
Addressed thus by the Daityas, Kaśyapa the son of Marīci then
spoke these grave and meaningful words, as if smiling:
