dṛṣṭosyadya121 mayā śakra na122 jīvan pratiyāsyasi123 .
athāgatya tadā brahmā prāhetthaṃ surasattamān . .1 15. .
na yoddhavyaṃ surā daityairavadhyā vaḥ suradviṣaḥ .
na yoddhavyaṃ na yoddhavyaṃ surā daityairmahābalaiḥ . . 11 6..

'You have been seen by me today, O Śakra! You will not return alive!' / Then Brahmā, having arrived, spoke thus to the foremost gods: / 'The Daityas are not to be fought, O gods! The enemies of the gods are unslayable by you! / The Daityas of immense might must not be fought, must not be fought, O gods!
