ājñaptāsmi tadā mātrā pradāyāstrāṇi dānava .
vasa vindhye girau ramye yogaṃ16 ca kuru sarvadā . .1 3 . .
sāhaṃ vacanamāryāyāḥ17 pālayantī nagottame .
vasāmi siṃhaśārdūla mātaṅgamṛgasevite ..14. .

I was instructed then by my mother, having given me weapons, O Dānava: / "Dwell on the delightful Vindhya mountain and always practice yoga." // Obedient to the word of that noble lady on this best of mountains, / I dwell [here], frequented by lions, tigers, elephants, and deer.'
