7.8.34_151

śaṃkukarṇa uvāca
lokā naśyantu yūyaṃ vā na praveśaḥ pradīyate .
vinaṣṭān9 punareveśaḥ srakṣyate bhuvaneśvaraḥ . . 1 9. .
sraṣṭā sa eva bhūtānāṃ sa vināśayitā tathā .
taṃ vinā kaḥ surāḥ śakto lokānnāśayituṃ vibhum . .8.73.20 ..

Śaṅkukarṇa said:
"Let the worlds perish, or you yourselves—entrance is not granted.
Even if they are destroyed, the Lord, the master of the world, will create them again.
He alone is the creator of beings; he likewise is their destroyer.
Who, O gods, could destroy the worlds without that all-pervading Lord?
