tameva punarājagmustiṣṭhate yatra śaṅkaraḥ .
atha tānpunarevāsau12 rurodha gaṇapeśvaraḥ . .24. .
śaṃkukarṇo gaṇādhyakṣastejasā prajvalanniva .
atha brahmā tamāhedaṃ sāntvamarthayutaṃ vacaḥ .. 25..

came again to that very place where Śaṅkara was staying.
Then that lord of the gaṇas stopped them once more—
Śaṅkukarṇa, the chief of the gaṇas, blazing as if with fiery energy.
Then Brahmā spoke to him these soothing words endowed with purpose:
