paśya māṃ tvaṃ diteḥ putra cakṣurdivyaṃ dadāmi56 te .
śarvohamāgato daitya varaṃ brūhi yathepsitam . .8.73.90 . .
sa protthāya57 hiraṇyākṣaḥ praṇamya śirasā bhavam .
varaṃ saṃprārthayad58 devaṃ putraṃ dattveti satvaram ..91 ..

'Look at me, O son of Diti! I grant you divine vision. / I am Śarva, arrived here, O daitya; state the boon you desire.' / Arising and bowing with his head to Bhava, / Hiraṇyākṣa quickly requested the boon from the god, saying, 'Grant me a son!' (91)
