na cetpurandaro vajraṃ tasya kṣepsyati mūrdhani .
dvidhā yena kṛto mūḍhaḥ prāṇāṃstyakṣyati dustyajān ..45. .
bruvatastasya bahvevaṃ krodhasaṃraktalocanaḥ .
viṣṇuḥ provāca dharmātmā vacāṃsi paramārthavit ..46..

If not, then Purandara will hurl his thunderbolt at his head, / by which that fool, split in two, will abandon his hard-to-relinquish life-breaths.' / As he was thus speaking at length, his eyes reddened with anger, / the righteous Viṣṇu, who knows the ultimate truth, spoke these words:
