grīṣmeṣu ca mahādevī pañcāgniṃ sādhayet tataḥ /
varṣākāle sārdravāsācarac cāndrāyaṇaṃ vratam //
And in summers the great lady performed the five-fire penance; / during the rainy season, in wet garments, she observed the cāndrāyaṇa vow.
