evam uktvā yayau rājā hyudayaṃ siddhiparvatam /
kandamūlaphalāhāraḥ śivadhyānaparāyaṇaḥ //

Having spoken thus, the king went to the mountain of Siddhi, [the peak] Udaya; / subsisting on roots, tubers, and fruit, wholly devoted to meditation on Śiva.
