54.5

yama uvāca:
mayā mukto na jānāti bodhyamāno budhair api /
saṃsāre kliśyate nānā rāgalobhavaśāt naraḥ //

Yama said: / "Though instructed by me, even when enlightened by the wise, a man does not understand; / he suffers in the cycle of rebirth under the varied sway of passion and greed.
