garbhapātena bhāvena śāstram uktaṃ na budhyate /
narair na śrūyate karma svargamokṣaprasādhakam //

Because of a state [clouded] by miscarriage [of judgment], he does not comprehend the scripture that is spoken; / the deed that accomplishes heaven and liberation is not heard by men.
