tasmiṃs tīrthe naraḥ snātvā upavāsaparāyaṇaḥ /
dīkṣāmantravihīno 'pi mucyate bhavabandhanāt //

A man who bathes in that sacred bathing site, devoted to fasting,
even though destitute of initiation and mantras, is freed from the bondage of existence.
