87.8

uttānapāda uvāca:
vidhiś ca kīdṛśī deva kathaṃ śrāddhasya ca kriyā /
dānaṃ ca dīyate yena tan mamākhyātum arhasi //

Uttānapāda said:
O God, of what sort is the rule, and how is the rite of an ancestral offering performed,
and by what [manner] is a gift given? You should explain that to me.
