deva uvāca:
śrāddhaṃ kṛtvā gṛhe bhaktyā susnāto vijitendriyaḥ /
vāgyatas tarpayet tāvad yāvat saṃkhyāmalaṅghayan //
The God said:
Having performed an ancestral offering at home with devotion, well-bathed, with senses subdued,
restrained in speech, he should offer libation offerings without transgressing the [prescribed] number.
