Skanda said: / Thus praised by the blessed Lord, the god of gods, the conqueror of obstacles, / the Vināyaka manifested himself in many forms in this manner. / These are the names of that Ḍhuṇḍhirāja, O jar-born [Agastya], / by reciting which a mortal will attain his desired goal. / There are also other forms of that Lord of Gaṇas, Ḍhuṇḍhi, / worshipped with devotion by devotees, countless by the thousands: / Bhagīratha Gaṇādhyakṣa, Hariścandra Vināyaka, / the Gaṇapati named Kapardin, and likewise Binduvināyaka. / The lords of obstacles beginning with these were established there by individual devotees; / through worshipping them too, all riches arise for men. / Having heard this meritorious chapter with faith, / a man, casting off all obstacles, attains the desired state. / Thus ends the fifty-seventh chapter, entitled 'The Manifestation of Ḍhuṇḍhivināyaka', in the latter half of the Kāśīkhaṇḍa in the fourth part of the glorious Skandapurāṇa of eighty-one thousand verses.
