pūjanīyo mahendraśca satī devī tathaiva ca
In the bright fortnight of the month of Proṣṭhapada, day by day, / Mahendra is to be worshipped, and likewise the goddess Satī,

paṭe kṛtvā tu sarveṇa yathāśaktyā dvijottama
daivajñenaiva vidhinā sa tu pūjyo mahīkṣitā
having depicted [them] on a cloth, according to one's means, by all, O best of the twice-born.
