saṃhartā ca punareteṣāṃ kālarūpī maheśvaraḥ
parārdhaṃ brahmaṇo viprā atītamiti naḥ śrutam

And Maheśvara, whose form is time, is their destroyer once again. / Half the life-span of Brahmā has passed, O Brahmins, so we have heard.
