niragnikaḥ smṛtastāvadyāvadbhāryāṃ na vindati
sāgniko bhāryayā yukta ityevaṃ manurabravīt
He is traditionally remembered as without fire as long as he does not obtain a wife; / united with a wife, he possesses the sacred fire—thus did Manu say.
