skāndaṃ śivacaturdaśyāṃ pradadyācchivayogine
jñānī bhavati viprendrā mahādevaprasādataḥ
On the fourteenth [lunar day] sacred to Śiva, one should give the Skānda to a Śaiva yogin; / through the grace of Mahādeva, he becomes a possessor of knowledge, O best of the vipras.
