vyāsa uvāca |
rājañchṛṇu mahābhāga vistaraṃ paramādbhutam |
yathā bhagavatā yajñaḥ kṛtaśca vidhipūrvakaḥ ||

Vyâsa said:-- O noble one! Hear in detail that very wonderful thing, how Visnu celebrated the Devî Yajña comformably to the rules laid down in the S’âstras.
