vīraseno'pi tatrāha dharmapatnīsutaḥ kila |
rājyārhaḥ sa yathā rājan śāstrajñebhyo mayā śrutam ||

Vîrasena said:-- O king! He who is the son of the legal wife inherits the kingdom; this I have heard from the learned who are proficient in the knowledge of the S’âstras.
