tacchrutvā nṛpatirbhṛtyānādideśa mahābalān |
nayaghvaṃ nandinīṃ dhenuṃ baladarpasusaṃsthitāḥ ||

O King! Hearing thus the Vas'istha's words, Vis’vâmitra, the King, ordered at once his powerful followers to carry the cow Nandinî away by fastening a cord round her neck per sheer force.
